MONTY

Tuesday 12th April 2022

We are very sad to announce the passing of another Buddy's Dog. Monty the springer Spaniel and Molly the Munsterlander came to us in February 2018 as a pair and were rehomed together to a wonderful home. Monty was diagnosed with lung cancer at Christmas and recently passed away. He had four wonderful years living the dream on a farm in a very loving home and I know he will be very sadly missed. Our hearts and thoughts are with his owner at this time and also with Molly as the two dogs were very close.

Bailey ... what a journey ..! Absolutely lovely boy and tail well on its way to healing ( hurrah!) although his days/nights are spent in an oversized cone to prevent him from licking !! TILLY

Tuesday 5th April 2022

RSPCA Surrey Woking & District Branch Tilly is a 10-week-old crossbreed puppy who will be ready for her new home in the next few weeks (possible lurcher/whippet/terrier mix, she is growing fast!). This little lady is a typical happy puppy, she is going to require a lot of time, training, and patience. She thrives on routine and boundaries (being a pup she will of course push boundaries!) Tilly is remarkable with her toileting and once she is familiar with her surroundings she will ask to go outside to go to the toilet, she is very clean for her age. She sleeps well through the night, asking if she requires the toilet. Like all puppies Tilly is into everything! She sleeps, wants to play…

Sunday 3rd April 2022

This morning Lady went forward to her new home. She will be a Companion /Working Dog for a retired gentleman who felt the time was right for another dog. Emotional viewing as both he and his wife were moved to tears meeting Lady. Lady will make an honest working companion, such a biddable lovely girl with good recall, a dog he will be able to take out with pride..... she is also a very loving girl. Liked this girl a lot. (Her new owners have requested No Social Media which we respect) Lady you have a fabulous new home with owners that adore you already. You are the missing link this gentleman needed…

BAILEY

Wednesday 30th March 2022

An update on Bailey ... His tail is not healing as fast as we would like however we are on top of Infection and Pain..... My heart really does go out to Bailey as he has coped so well especially with the dressing changes as this is a 3 man job... 2 to hold him and one to change his dressing as he is incredibly strong (a few bruises along the way) He enjoys his walks across the fields and is a great house guest! Bailey will not be going anywhere until his tail is fully healed as I would like him to have a happy pain free time with us (cone free) before he is placed up…

HARLEY

Tuesday 29th March 2022

Congratulations to Harley who has successfully passed his trial period with Paws for Conservation. He is proving himself to be a focused confident little worker searching till he finds and this was something I noticed on our very first outing when he came here... We are so proud of what Rachael Flavell has achieved with Harley and the enjoyment both she and Harley get from working together. Harley you are one very lucky boy to have an experienced owner to guide you through what will be a very exciting life with a fantastic team. You were a joy from the day I picked you up... Go forward and fly the flag for Buddy's Rural Animal Rescue and shine like the…

MIDGE

Friday 25th March 2022

It is with sadness we announce the passing of another Buddy's dog . Beautiful Midge passed away just short of her 15th birthday.. she was once a fabulous working dog and her previous owners ensured she was spayed and vaccinated to date before asking us to find her a wonderful retirement home . Midge went to a 5* home where she was so loved and wanted for nothing .. Days out and holidays Midge went too! Our hearts and thoughts are with her owners who are coming to terms with having lost their loyal companion of 3.5 years . A dogs only default is they are not with us long enough ...

KYE

Friday 18th March 2022

Last week ended so sad... We have been working with Kye for a few weeks but sadly everything turned upside down, You may remember at the beginning Kye turned on me and bit me for no reason.. He had a great walk with the dogs and waited whilst I loaded the dogs in the vehicle then out of the blue just turned..but it was the level of aggression he showed that I was most concerned about, lips back, teeth showing and snarling.... I discussed this with the previous owner and this was his problem which was escalating in intensity as he got older (He also had a multiple bite history) On his Clinical notes it stated a vet visits had…
