KYE

Last week ended so sad...
We have been working with Kye for a few weeks but sadly everything turned upside down,
You may remember at the beginning Kye turned on me and bit me for no reason.. He had a great walk with the dogs and waited whilst I loaded the dogs in the vehicle then out of the blue just turned..but it was the level of aggression he showed that I was most concerned about, lips back, teeth showing and snarling.... I discussed this with the previous owner and this was his problem which was escalating in intensity as he got older (He also had a multiple bite history) On his Clinical notes it stated a vet visits had been aborted due to his aggression and clearly written it states on no account must the children ever be left alone with him...which they never were but it made their home life pretty difficult. Kye would have good days and I loved watching him open up to me but equally there were many moments that I did not recognise him as I would find him sat down just staring. On two separate occasions he attacked my old Cocker Dinky who just walked past him to go to the water bowl and for no reason he flew at her with intense ferocity and the other was one early morning when I heard distressed cry's from my disabled Lab Eli who was pinned on his bed and when I ran in to diffuse the situation Kye turned to me and I saw the aggression I had seen at the beginning.. Lips back, teeth showing and that deep snarling.. I was frightened and somehow managed to get him outside! This was not guarding or fear aggression this was something more and it was frightening! I spoke with a few people and trainers very experienced with dogs and also to my vet . Kye was a danger to himself and the people around him. It was his unpredictable nature that made him dangerous. I kept owners Up-to-date with what was happening and after lengthy discussions with them the decision was made to humanely PTS. We could not have rehomed Kye safely or responsibly knowing what he was like. Kyes owners were present with him at the end. This was so very hard to witness. Our thoughts are with his owners who loved and adored him.. this was not a problem they created there was something not right with Kye. He will be going home.
I contacted the breeder who clearly did not want to talk to me as I wanted to know if anyone had contacted him re problems from the same litter.. He said no!
There are no words. Distressing for everyone
I am so sorry I could not help you Kye... Run free little man .
