ROSCO

Saturday 14th May 2022

A post I do not want to write... Little Rosco lost his fight late yesterday afternoon .. he was deteriorating throughout the day and we were kept up to date with everything. Discussions with RSPCA Woking, Yatton Vets and me the decision was made ....he was so very poorly.. when I got there he could not hold his little head up .. so we did the honourable thing by him and laid him to rest ... In his last few days he experienced love , cuddles, tenderness, food, warmth. He did not die in pain or fear in the wretched box he was found in.. he was surrounded by love ! Everyone that has…

ROSCO UPDATE

Friday 13th May 2022

We have been updated through out the day and all is going in the right direction .. Rosco has not crashed since yesterday after having immediate fluids into his abdomen and a line put in to his bone. He had a comfortable night with Vet Nurse Nigel who monitored him throughout the night .. his glucose rose around midnight and he was taken off the glucose and placed on fluids. Rosco is a very hungry little pup currently syringe fed but as Nigel said if he could eat the syringe as well if he could!!!the plan was for him to hopefully show a vein so a line could be inserted and the one in the bone removed ..…

Perked up pre transport to us and was classed fit to travel .. sadly half way he crashed and Megan had to act fast and get him to the nearest vet which was Elston Veterinary Clinic , Shrewton in Wiltshire.. Roscoe was lifeless and RSPCA Woking Branch asked them not to give up but to to do Everything possible to give him a fighting chance .. and they did .. Vet Nurse Jude took him home with her…

Willow Update

Saturday 23rd April 2022

At 4am Willow finally ate a small amount of food .. which raised my hopes and she has produced a wee ... (how little things mean so much) she is so painfully thin you feel you want to wrap her up in cotton wool . I have brought Dinky up to meet Willow and hopefully encourage her to eat /drink and maintain a feed routine every two hours . She has taken to a little soft toy pup. Where there is light .. there is hope .

ADDER BITE

Sunday 17th April 2022

Know what to do... THIS HAPPENED TO MY DOG The changing face of my dog bitten by an Adder 30th October 2017. Dinky aged 9 years old, and a fabulous little dog...I photographed the changes over a 24, 48, 72 , 96 hour period. She is a very lucky little girl. I had taken the dogs out on heathland,a great training ground and normally safe this time of year. an area avoided in the summer due to Adders!! Sadly Dinky was very unlucky. She did not yelp, she is a very stoic little dog. IF YOU SUSPECT AN ADDER BITE.. Seek immediate vetinary attention, even if your dog is not…
