Ivy loves the freedom she now has not to mention comfort and will never want for anything ... Having worked with 3 hind limb amputees in the past I have to say Ivy was just incredible .. she healed so quickly, her coat grew back quickly over the surgical area.. BERRY

Wednesday 2nd February 2022

Berry has a home for life to settle, be loved and pampered in luxury..a style she is fast becoming accustomed to..and why not! (You may remember Berry one of the two dogs found in Watford in a very poor state...overbred, severe loss of hair on her body especially around her rear and very thin....) Her coat is now sleek and very shiny and those bald areas are almost fully covered! This lady fell in love with Berry from seeing her first post having had three spaniels and sadly losing two last year leaving Cosmo a bit lost and down and since Berry's arrival he has become his old self..It was also important Berry was with another dog. Berry your…

Tommy

Tuesday 1st February 2022

Tommy is currently out on trial.. A fabulous dog that needed someone to help him be the dog he was bred to be ..and in the right hands has the potential to be a fabulous working dog ... End of season makes way for a great project to prepare for next season ! Totally unsuited to a pet home and as I said issues were developing within the home hence the reason he came to us ... Bred as a working dog ...it's in his genes ! Tommy has a lot to learn .. a blank canvas... Hopefully he will become a part of this pack that he has fitted in very well with. From little seeds for…

General update

Wednesday 12th January 2022

This month is very busy and costly , Ivy and Holly have both been spayed and are recovering very well..Ivy also had a mammary mass removed which did not look healthy so have been awaiting the results ... Thrilled to say it is benign and was completely removed at time of spay ... Berry went in for Dental surgery as her teeth were not great. She has a slightly undershot jaw and had 12 teeth removed. Amazing the difference it has made enabling her to open her mouth and she is so happy ! it has not affected her appetite and is currently on soft food for the moment ! Berry will be spayed once she…

As you can see lots of new hair growth especially around the eyes and this has changed her whole appearance ! Holly is a Brittany with a Bob tail... she is a very sweet loving affectionate girl, she thrives on love and attention and loves to cuddle up on the sofa .. she is quite nervous of new things. She is fast, agile , starting to respond to her name. She gets on…

Ivy

Wednesday 5th January 2022

Update on Ivy who is moving forward daily from strength to strength after having undergone Hind Limb amputation which was completely necrotic after being found mid December in an appalling state. The person who found her and took her to the Vets that day saved her life... (Ivy came to us through the RSPCA Woking Branch) One busy little girl who has a permanent smile on her face..... Happy to be out of pain, Happy to be Alive!!! Fantastic with all the dogs, Loves being outside, very ball focused and brings it back. Healthy appetite, Sleeps well. We are aware Ivy has a mammary tumour which will be looked at when she goes forward for her spay at the end of this…
