APPEAL

Thursday 30th January 2020

There are times when we have to be humble and appeal for help.... During the past year we donated to £250 to a game keeper who lost everything in a fire £500 to the PDSA through a go fund me page from someone unable to pay their Bill! £250 to St.Giles for the help toward a cocker spaniel taken in in a bad condition £250 to Animals Australia which I think you will all agree was an amazing donation to animals in distress and something Animals Australia have followed through and involved us as a part of their community..... These are times we have been in a position to help But Now its my turn to appeal for help Bella so far has cost over the…

Bella

Thursday 30th January 2020

We go from a high to a major low ..... Bella came home from the vets last night only to be readmitted this am with a high temp , lethargy ... She has deteriorated throughout the day.. Tues night she was 13:2 kg. This am 11:8kg. and it physically shows. I took her temp this am which was 39.3. And this pm it was 39.9. Her liver enzymes have increased since leaving the vets yesterday afternoon ... this evening I spent time with her at the vets and she is very poorly ...I left her with my scarf which I hope gives her comfort with my smell... I am gutted beyond words as I truly don't know what to say…

Bella

Wednesday 29th January 2020

Thank you so much to an amazing team who were ready to receive Bella last night and started working on her straight away ... Bella had a good night and her BP remained steady after I left ... she was given charcoal to absorb toxins in her body giving way to a few explosions! Her bloods came back this morning looking good... with a ? Re her liver .. which would be normal as we believe she has eaten something toxic! ... To safe guard her she has been prescribed Denamarin and a repeat blood test next week to ensure she is 100% fit and healthy ! If I am openly honest I thought we had lost her ... she…

Example

This evening Bella is in a 'Critical' condition at Yatton Vets .... Bloods taken and in house tests have confirmed certain things have been ruled out ....awaiting more blood test results tomorrow am!! We first noted something wrong around 4:45 this afternoon... Bella was sick twice (enough to raise alarm bells ) and drank water .. then stood very still in a trance like state and laid down on the floor with all the dogs surrounding her .. she did not move ! Pete picked her up and placed her on the sofa and we noted how cold her mouth felt .. her gums were white!! I rushed her to the vets whilst Pete phoned ahead ... and all the…

Holly

Saturday 25th January 2020

A week plus post surgery on her two front legs and all is going well. We have purchased a large comfy bed for her as most of her time is spent crated with bones to keep her occupied. Holly is on lead for toilet duties outside. She has just started to lick her wounds so the collar has had to go on to prevent this. Her appetite is not affected. We are appealing for donations as our fees thus far are £2,166.47 (combined with the first set of Xrays from the vet practice in Dorset) This sum will increase as Holly becomes mobile and requires physio/hydrotherapy Any help will be greatly appreciated....Thank you

Holly

Tuesday 21st January 2020

Holly came back to us after a collision with the resident dog after being rehomed .. The collision rendered her non weight bearing on her front left leg. She was taken for x rays in Dorset which revealed a fracture on the left and possibly one on the right. Arrangements were made for her to return back to us . Personal Recommendation from Lin Iddon (Dog Lost UK) led us to Will Oldham at Hook Norton Veterinary Group Nr Banbury who said if we could get her there the next day he would hospitalize Holly for free thereby reducing our costs for the surgical procedure.... Hollys left Leg has a screw combined with a plate and pins and the right leg…

Bristol Spaniels

Wednesday 15th January 2020

Just thought we would introduce the "Three Bristol Spaniels" They have been scanned and checked by 2 scanners ... no microchips! All three are a good weight ! They have been groomed, de matted, flea & worm treated. Their photos have been forwarded to The Dog Lost UK Team. Rosie & Jim And the little black & white pup Ruby They will all be health checked by our vet as Jim has quite a few sores on his body. A good healthy diet and that will change .... They have all settled in very well . Give them a week and they will all look different .... Please note these dogs are NOT the dogs stolen from East Knoyle in Wiltshire and we…

Casper

Friday 10th January 2020

Light at the end of the Tunnel Many will remember the two English Springer Spaniels Poppy & Holly that were placed in to Foster Care by the family whilst the Owner was Ill and were then sold by the Foster carer after a few days!! There were also two boys Buddy & Casper who also went to a Foster Home and they struggled to look after the two boys so they were placed into kennels...Thats when we became involved after being asked by a certain member from the Dog Lost Uk Team!!! ;) ! The two boys came here and a month later the lady who had purchased the two girls saw something on Facebook and contacted the daughter of the…

He has coped and is coping incredibly well with the crate rest, and he looks forward to our little trips out! He is using the leg well.... and I am proud of this little man ! On Wednesday Louis will be going forward to a knowledgeable home with a Vet Nurse who works in Orthopaedics and can help him continue and enhance his journey. The day will come when he can run his heart out and be a normal dog but until then Slow & Steady wins the race.
