Bella
Tuesday 2nd June 2020
We have made the decision to remove Bella's Post from social media Face book due to an extremely high volume of emails/messages. We were very concerned last night reading through emails whereby people are prepared to drive hundreds of miles without knowing more about the dog. People offering to pay double the adoption fee! Mobile phone and private messages coming from all angles. The phone was eventually switched off. Many people expecting to hear an immediate reply which is impossible!. We mentioned last night no further enquiries would be accepted yet there are another 50 plus this morning.! Very few people taking the time to learn about the Rescue, Where we are based and the type of dogs we work…
Holly
Sunday 31st May 2020
A 350 mile round trip this morning leaving at 4:15am to avoid the heat of the day and also giving Holly a whole day in which to settle before nightfall . A perfect match ... I think so ! Very knowledgable young lady who is also a Vet Nurse and understands Holly's situation and ready to continue her development forward with physio. & hydrotherapy ... Holly goes forward on a trial to make sure that that everything is right for both her and her new prospective owner ... I have some beautiful photos of the two girls together but will wait until confirmed all is good ... This Miniature Hand painting was gifted to me and although I had seen a…

Tuesday 26th May 2020
This afternoon We received a phone call regarding Ben The German Shepherd we rehomed 2.5 years ago. Ben sadly passed away this morning. He took himself out into the garden then walked into the shed where he just curled up and went to sleep. All very peaceful. Ben and his owner Bob were well known in Yatton..One man and his dog! They had become inseparable. Ben was a great guard dog, a True, Wonderful, Loving & Loyal Companion, A stunning Dog with gentle eyes, Loved and adored by many. Our hearts are with Bob at this very sad time.

Jacko
Tuesday 28th April 2020
This time two years ago This stunning dog was advertised on the Bristol Selling Sites for £50. It caused a stir at the time and Thankfully we were able to secure his safety. He was not in great condition and had loss of hair around his ears and body through stress. He arrived covered in faeces, very smelly and in very poor condition. Jacko had been passed around and Thankfully was still microchipped to the Breeder who was deeply upset at the same time relieved that we had made contact with them and were happy for us to work with the dog. During that time we sent many photos of Jacko gaining weight and having a wonderful time...Jacko was rehomed…
Judy
Friday 10th April 2020
Remember 'Judy' May 2019....After a distressed call for help and receiving a photograph of this Spaniel Pup aged 8 months plans were made to pick her up that evening. One very timid pup who had given up and her skin was in an awful state.... However once again the pack became her comfort and security and slowly she came out of herself... Baths, TLC, A good Diet, and no pressure from us! Judy's Owner is a Dog Trainer and has had the time to spend with her, moving her forward to take part in Agility.. She was also out on the field towards the end of last season and took everything in her stride. Judy has given her all…

STEPPING STONES Its Time for you to leave My Friend, It's time for pastures new, My work with you is done My Friend, Go forward and be YOU... We stood together on that Stone and each day you grew stronger, We crossed so many Stepping Stones till you needed me no longer. Marley was successfully rehomed to a wonderful couple very experienced with the breed and also had several Spaniels which for him was perfect. He is a very happy boy who has moved on from the traumatic time he had. He certainly is one lucky boy.
GRASS SEEDS Marley (Part 1)
Monday 6th April 2020
Drawing Attention to GRASS SEEDS after last year we took in an Emaciated Dehydrated Young Male Spaniel in 2019 whom we named Marley. Marley had great difficulty walking and was in a pretty bad way. He was seen immediately by our vet who kept him in to a) get fluids in to him b) to start a refeeding programme and c) begin the process of removing the grass seeds deeply embedded in his paws an legs..... Marley underwent an operation to remove 52 Seeds, after a couple of days he came back to us to focus on his recovery and weight gain. He sought comfort from being with the pack and they became his security,…
