East Harptree Very out of character .... knows the area well... Out with my husband on 2nd walk of the day Not the type to run off ! My heart is in my stomach ! We have searched all on private land with permission ... we have searched bottom of forestry ... no sight nor sound .... car is left there with boot open Dog warden has been notified ... Midget is now settled and secure in her fabulous new home with a lady experienced with the breed having owned 4 Jack Russel's over the years. We loved having this little girl here and she loved the country life! Midget developed good friendships with all the dogs and was the most amazing nanny to the puppies, tolerating them jumping all over her.. following them if they went outside and if they got in to mischief barking to warn us! A very kind Loving Dog who loved to sit beside you and snore!! Very much a Terrier on lead!! but off lead fantastic! Midget You were a joy to know that's why we kept you so long you had so much love…

Both these Fabulous Dogs are currently on Trial. Bentley was collected this morning by PC Paul Hilder from Avon & Somerset Police for a trial period.... Leo went yesterday to his new home for a 2 week trial....his weight is steadily going down and his placement is with an active couple who will continue to help him trim & tone up... Really wishing both boys all the best. Both dogs have been an absolute joy to have here and we have seen big changes in both of them.. Shine the light for Buddy's boys .
MARLEY

One Year ago Marley went to his new home...... He arrived here severely underweight, dehydrated and was admitted to the vets for rehydration.. and then began the first of three operations to remove over 60 grass seeds from his paws and legs! (52 were removed in one op..) We filmed his time with us and a journey I will never forget...He went forward to a fabulous knowledgeable Spaniel home as he needed to have dogs around him and he is thriving where he is now.... (I still get emotional watching this video)
LEO UPDATE

Leo Update .... As you can see we have had his coat clipped which needed attention .. also a raging ear infection in both ears which is responding well to treatment ... Scales are showing a downward sign. On Thursday he had lost .5kg. And am guessing it must be around 1 kg today ... Leo loves being outside and now I am seeing a spark in him and he is venturing forward ... Mixes well with all the dogs, likes his own space to sleep , settled in very well with our routine , Very loving boy... Travels well, sleeps sound at night , house clean , Introduced him to the pond where he dabbled on the edge ! Enjoying his diet .... I…

It's hard to let go... for me ! Little Midget went for a viewing yesterday to a wonderful lady experienced with the breed having had Jack Russell's all her life ... Fabulous connection between both the lady and Midget ... lovely home and garden ... Midget came here pre lock down ... weighing a little over 3kg and a large mammory tumour . A skinny little dog that yelped if you picked her up ! We had it removed and a spay at the same time... thankfully the tumour was not cancerous ! Midget made her requests known ... regular meals ... she loved her food and savoured every last morsel ...she earned her place in the kitchen with our dogs and…

Meet Leo who is 2 years 9 months Lovely natured well mannered dog, I have taken him for a walk off lead and he is very well behaved.... He is extremely overweight which can not be comfortable for him so Planned diet & Exercise Programme including swimming,. and a visit to Paws to Claws Pet groomers! Leo was very nervous on arrival but after our short walk this afternoon he was doing the hot shoe shuffle with Bracken ;) A couple of days he will settle and find his place within the pack....... Thank you Gill Chapman for recommending the owners contact us for safe rehoming.

Duffy Aged 15 Weeks It was wonderful to see this couple again as they adopted Rosie earlier this year (one of the Bristol 3) a couple of weeks pre Lockdown! I knew they were looking to add to their family by getting a younger pup at some stage but when when the country went into Lockdown they decided to put their plans on hold until we all knew what was happening!!! May be there was a guiding hand in this adoption (I like to think so) Duffy was placed into foster with them and settled so well, she looked a picture of health as did Rosie who looked absolutely stunning.... Hoolie 2 Aged 15 Weeks What can I say....... We are keeping this little one! He chose us! Both Pete and I wanted to call him Hoolie. You have big boots to fill little man and I am really going to enjoy showing you the way forward.
