LoLa

LoLa

Saturday 13th April 2024

Lola one of our long term rescues was not feeling too great last night and on checking her over I discovered a large wound that needed stitching .. she had clearly run onto something in the woods yesterday … I made her comfortable last night and put on an antiseptic dressing and this morning popped her over to Shepton Vets where by they kept her in to have a good look at the damage under sedation and stitch her up ..
Lola has been with us approx 7 years , she is a quirky little dog who loves us to bits but not so fond of other people if they try to touch her ..!I We thought we had found the perfect home for her 7 years ago but sadly it did not work out .. She came back and did the high five salute with my dogs and said ‘Hi Guys..I’m back ‘ !!
We made the decision to keep her as she had had 3 homes pre coming to us .. she is hard work but as I have already said she loves us to bits and is part of the family.
(Long sock on to stop her licking wound pre vets this am …. )
We are waiting for the vet’s call to let us know how she is and when she can come home ..
Update ….
LoLa is now home after her ordeal and obviously a lot more comfortable .. no major damage thankfully and stitched together neatly .
Rest is on the menu which for LoLa will be hard but at the moment she is sleeping peacefully!
