Vets for Litter to be Tested...

Today we had an afternoon at Yatton Vets ..
Willow in for vaccination and microchip as she has gained enough coverage over her bones ...
Billy for 2nd part to his vaccination Restart..
and the pups were in for their Parvo test ....
The Results ...
Skippy, Scampi & Molly tested Positive for Parvovirus (light) and all 4 tested positive for Giardia! Roscoe (deceased) samples were brought out of the fridge and his results were the same as the others ... ( the only one clear of parvo is Tinker )
All pups are gaining weight daily , their skin & coat look great , they are all active , alert , playful, Inquisitive, as pups should be .. good healthy appetite!
I feel we are on top of the parvo .....We have slightly increased the dose of Panacur for a longer period for the Giardia..and feel confident we are on top of that also ... and pray that by the end of the next two weeks they are all clear when we repeat the tests .
Our dogs are all okay and vaccinated ... the pups are at one end of the house and isolated ..! They have not come into contact with our dogs plus I am the main handler and ensure there is no risk of external contamination!! The fact that the pups are looking so healthy and lively shows that we are on top of this .... (I pray )
I have never worked with Parvovirus or Giardia so I am back to researching and learning as much as I can fast!
For the time being we will not be taking any dogs in to our home .. I have a couple of external assessments over the next few days but the safety of the pups In our care is paramount ...
