ROSCO UPDATE

We have been updated through out the day and all is going in the right direction .. Rosco has not crashed since yesterday after having immediate fluids into his abdomen and a line put in to his bone. He had a comfortable night with Vet Nurse Nigel who monitored him throughout the night .. his glucose rose around midnight and he was taken off the glucose and placed on fluids. Rosco is a very hungry little pup currently syringe fed but as Nigel said if he could eat the syringe as well if he could!!!the plan was for him to hopefully show a vein so a line could be inserted and the one in the bone removed ..
This pm call was positive but also airing on ' he is not out of the woods yet '
No show of a vein, so the line will remain where it is for now. Eating heartily and lapping from the hand .. very hungry .. 'A positive'. Stood up and tried to walk , very unsteady to start with but as the day progressed he made huge improvement. 'Another Positive'
His gums were grey and are starting to show a little pink . 'A third Positive '
Rosco is showing he wants to live , and with love , support and prayers he will pull through 'I feel it in my bones' I know his life is in a very delicate place right now but he could not be in better hands..
