Alfie

Sunday 8th August 2021

10 month old Alfie has been here just a few days and achieved a lot in a short space of time.
A young one who come in with Behavioural Issues that were so disruptive to the young family who loved him very much and recognised that their environment was not right for Alfie they made the tough decision to let him go. For Alfie and for the sake of their family they did the right thing.
Alfie has come forward in leaps and bounds and is off lead with good recall, he is enjoying the companionship of the dogs around him and gets on well with them all, he is a playful young boy who has tumbled quite a few times as he finds his running legs!
Well behaved in the house, Eats well and sleeps well and has adapted well to our routine.
Alfie is a dog that likes his own bed and space.. he is not crated as I understand this did not go down to well in previous home ...he will happily lie on the floor or take himself to his own bed. Alfie needs guidance & boundaries and is respectful.
Alfie has bitten both the adults on the hand and made them both nervous around him which over time escalated the tension within the home which impacted heavily on Alfie, down to having sedation to calm him down and also groomed... Yesterday I popped him in to our groomers for a quick tidy up and he was absolutely fine... Paws to Claws Pet Groomers, Rookery Farm, Binegar.
Puppies are not born with behavioural Issues and I am so pleased this little one came to us when he did before he really did have Issues.
Alfie is a lovely boy and has drawn comfort from being with a well balanced pack and a calm household and as you can see in this short video he loves the interaction with other dogs and this is something he had not had nor the freedom to run.

In one week Alfie is a different dog to the one I picked up last week.. He is a fabulous young boy who has latched onto me in a big way and needs his own home to settle in.
A young pup I have thoroughly enjoyed watching as he explores life....
