Bandit

Bandit

Wednesday 7th April 2021

After a two week trial Bandit has been adopted ... in fact - around day 4 i heard those words .. "he's staying "😉
Bandit needed an experienced handler, someone prepared to spend the time with him and guide him forward ...Time to Bond , Time to Train, and not giving in at small hiccups, !!
Time for Bandit to settle with the resident GWP who clearly said " You cannot be serious !! " but by day 4 she had changed her mind to "actually I like him" as they slept side by side on the floor !!!
There are two young children in the family .. who loved Bandit straight away and he them ... their daughter pictured here is amazing with him ( her chosen future is to be a vet and seeing how great she is with Bandit I have no doubt she will achieve her dream plus she will have an active role in training Bandit under the guidance of her father. ( The younger daughter was at nursery)
Bandit will be trained as a Working Dog but as the family said he is a family dog first and the whole introduction was centred on the children which he passed with flying colours.
The lady of the house is a keen runner so Bandit will also be her running partner ... first run was 4 miles and he coped well ... then she pushed him to 7 miles and again he coped well ... I noted how different he looked in term of muscle .. whereas he had none he was looking great.
Bandit you were entrusted into my care to find the best home I could for you ... I believe I did! The best part is I will have the opportunity to see you in training and also come the season out on the field ..
You have a fabulous home with a family that truly love you ...
"Don't forget me " 😉
Footnote : Thank you to Andy Bluffield Gun Dog Trainer for the Introduction and field assessment.
