It is with great sadness we announce the death of Rachel who adopted Eli 2 years ago when he came to us as a young puppy with a host of things going on ... and he was confirmed Neosporosis
Rachel's life was devoted to her dogs and years ago horses.... she devoted herself fully to helping Eli with all the obstacles he faced in life and guided him to become the dog he is today .... Chapel Farm Rehab have been instrumental in helping to move Eli forward with physio and hydrotherapy and these sessions were attended weekly with Rachel encouraging Eli on his swims ...
Her death has made a big imprint in all of us and she will be sadly missed by everyone who knew her . The saddest part is Rachel never told anyone that she was in palliative care and she went through this alone ...
So very tragic!
Rachel left specific Instructions that we were to ensure the dogs would be ok should anything happen to her and that they would be safe.
After discussing with Chapel Farm who knew both dogs well we made the decision that Eli would come to us and Julie Withy from Mutts with Friends 5 minutes from us very kindly offered to take Mutley a black Labrador x Collie .
Rachel you did your dogs proud as they are amazing boys and I promise both dogs will have the best for their future ...
You were one very special Lady ...
