Never under estimate the age of someone!!!!!
On arrival the gentleman of the house met me with a firm handshake and a fabulous warm smile and said she's in there and really excited...Ruby followed me in and straight in to the arms of an equally warm smiling lady as though she knew this was her special day! Pip the resident 8 year old Spaniel and Ruby made friends immediately.....
I was intrigued to meet this lady as she made me laugh on the phone when I asked had she thought about the future of Ruby should anything happen to them health wise and her reply was 'oh yes I have been reading all about you and the dog will come back to you' I had visions of many elderly dogs coming back in 10-15 years time!! but joking aside their family especially the grandson would all rally round and look after Ruby.
This couple are experienced Spaniel Owners having trained and worked their own dogs in the past but what really impressed me was the research they had done into the 'Cocker Spaniel x Jack Russel Breed'
I was not expecting the viewing to turn out the way it did … Today's 70's are healthy and active and age should not be a barrier..
I am pleased I made the time to visit this couple as their home and what they have to offer Ruby is truly just what this little girl needs.
Ruby for one so young you have been incredible. You have so much to offer and I know your new home has a lot of love to give you. Be happy little girl
