Holly
Tuesday 21st January 2020
Holly came back to us after a collision with the resident dog after being rehomed .. The collision rendered her non weight bearing on her front left leg. She was taken for x rays in Dorset which revealed a fracture on the left and possibly one on the right.
Arrangements were made for her to return back to us .
Personal Recommendation from Lin Iddon (Dog Lost UK) led us to Will Oldham at Hook Norton Veterinary Group Nr Banbury who said if we could get her there the next day he would hospitalize Holly for free thereby reducing our costs for the surgical procedure....
Hollys left Leg has a screw combined with a plate and pins and the right leg a screw... Holly was in hospital for 6 days and in that time was well loved and looked after by all the staff...….
Will..I cant Thank you and the team enough...What you have done for the Rescue is amazing.
For Holly's recovery she has been placed with a lady with no other dogs or young children. Holly will be crated with her exercise limited to toilet duties only. A Long Road ahead for Holly but when she is ready she will be visiting Chapel farm Rehab for the next stage of her recovery.
The fractures are no ones fault...They are often not caused by any major trauma, but can occur during normal exercise.
