Bella

Wednesday 29th January 2020

Thank you so much to an amazing team who were ready to receive Bella last night and started working on her straight away ... Bella had a good night and her BP remained steady after I left ... she was given charcoal to absorb toxins in her body giving way to a few explosions! Her bloods came back this morning looking good... with a ? Re her liver .. which would be normal as we believe she has eaten something toxic! ... To safe guard her she has been prescribed Denamarin and a repeat blood test next week to ensure she is 100% fit and healthy !
If I am openly honest I thought we had lost her ... she was so cold, her gums were white and she was very poorly... this was not Bella and I was awake all night in action rewind of the days events ......
When someone relinquishes their dog through whatever circumstances it’s an honour to work with that dog and move it forward into a fabulous home.. be it working /pet. Every home is 100% suited to that dog and it’s a role undertaken seriously . Previous owners are kept informed all the way up to the rehoming stage about everything ... ! When something like this happens .. you search yourself and it’s very hard !
It’s always a very poignant moment when each owner asks ... ‘will you consider keeping him/her’. and I have to be open and honest ... ‘I would love to but I can’t. As there is not enough love to go around’
