This evening Bella is in a ‘Critical’ condition at Yatton Vets ....
Bloods taken and in house tests have confirmed certain things have been ruled out ....awaiting more blood test results tomorrow am!!
We first noted something wrong around 4:45 this afternoon... Bella was sick twice (enough to raise alarm bells ) and drank water .. then stood very still in a trance like state and laid down on the floor with all the dogs surrounding her .. she did not move ! Pete picked her up and placed her on the sofa and we noted how cold her mouth felt .. her gums were white!! I rushed her to the vets whilst Pete phoned ahead ... and all the staff were there ready to receive her..
Bella’s blood pressure was low on arrival, her extremities were very cold.... after being placed on IV Fuids, oxygen and heatpads around her.. her BP rose.. she was scanned for internal bleeding and nothing was presenting ...Shaun wanted to keep her in for the night as she needed monitoring until they could find the cause. After settling her in to her overnight kennel her BP dropped again another boost on fluids brought her up again ..
Tonight my phone is beside my bed ....
This 6 month old pup has been and is an absolute joy to work with and ironically this am I was capturing her in photos in the hard frost... She has her forever home ready and waiting for Monday ...
I have contacted her new Owners and will keep them up to date with everything ...
Please say your prayers for Bella tonight
