We are seeing many Young Cocker Spaniels advertised with guarding Issues ... Please note there are many sharks out there that will see a nice young bitch/dog and will prey on your emotions ... Rehome only to a Reputable Rescue that work with the dogs issues, and prepare them for a future home in the right environment fully checked, at the same time offering Full Rescue Backup should anything go wrong... Be very aware of those that Talk the talk as they may have other ideas for your young puppy ... ! It happens

10 month old Alfie has been here just a few days and achieved a lot in a short space of time. A young one who come in with Behavioural Issues that were so disruptive to the young family who loved him very much and recognised that their environment was not right for Alfie they made the tough decision to let him go. A Foggy Morning Young Alfie out this morning for his first EVER run off lead ... loving the freedom, responding well to recall.. Alfie has also had problems with resource guarding in his previous home which is something we have started to address by putting firm boundaries in place which he is accepting and adapting well to .. Indie has been on trial in the Forest of Dean and today we were notified she will be staying. Her viewing went very well as she made herself at home sussing out the garden, checking all the rooms downstairs, wandering all around the outside of the house and launching herself in to the small trough to cool down (well it was a hot day and she loves water) She has been introduced to the resident horse, helped to fill hay nets, and also has the companionship of dogs around her.... DUKE

Duke has been personally adopted by PC Neil Layland who is with Port of Bristol Police at Royal Portbury Docks. Dogs have been operational within the port the past 15 months and hopefully Little Duke will be joining the team.. Two Stunning, well mannered, ball driven young boys Ollie & Teddy never made it through our doors today.. On the way home we made a stop at a venue where some of the police dogs were in training ..... Naturally the boys created some interest and we went inside for a play .. Let's just say they were both 'Dog napped'😉 PC Leigh Hext took Teddy who was introduced to PD Holly who also came from us and both got along well. PC Paul Hilder took Ollie. Massive Thank you to Emma Coleman who runs Paws to Claws Pet Groomer at Rookery Farm , Binegar.. Emma has been our personal dog groomer for many years and in 2016 she started grooming all the dogs that came into Rescue always going that extra mile to make sure she could fit them in . She also hosted and organised Dog Shows for the Rescue pre Covid and hopefully next year we can return to normal as it was a wonderful way to see many of our adopted dogs as well as raise funds .... Charlie came to us in 2019 from a troubled past which we will never know about .. he came from the RSPCA Surrey Woking & District Branch . He had bald patches over his body, his ears and tail and was underweight !
