A post I have not looked forward to writing.....
Many of you have said keep him ... but it's not that simple ! I wish I could keep so many of the dogs I Re-home but that is not what we are about!
My role is to work with the dogs from whatever background they come from and prepare them for a future life within a home where they will settle forever !
There are many heartbreakers along the way and yes I shed tears .. but the knowledge they go forward to the right environment speaks volumes and this is what we are all about .....
Puppy Jake
DOB. Approx 1st August 2021
Age approx 11 weeks old
Breed : DNA reveals mum Cocker Spaniel x Border Terrier mix .. Dad. Patterdale
Stunning very small pup standing 9" tall
Hand reared from 2-3 weeks old after being abandoned In a cardboard box !
See www.brarrescue.co.uk and read Jakes Story
Fantastic with spaniels in house and Labrador
Reads body language well and has been lovingly nurtured by an older 13 year old cocker spaniel who now puts him in his place when he goes that step too far !!
Loves his food eats well and weaned on our own puppy kibble ..
When tired takes himself to bed
Fantastic at night and sleeps sound ..
( never had a disturbed nights sleep )
Have nurtured him on classical music for pets 😉
Clean throughout the night ..
accidents during the day but making progress ..
Big dog in a little dogs body
Very much more a Terrier than a Cocker and can be a feisty little monkey when tired !
Super pup with a big personality.
Jake needs to be rehomed with another dog/s preferably with an older female who can nurture and play with him ... he has thrived being with all the dogs and gets on well with new dogs coming into the home. Loves his toys and ball! Is artful and playful !!! Jake loves people and has had many puppy cuddles and loves to have a nose in your ear !
Travels well and has accompanied me on many journeys
Very photogenic and truly a stunning pup with a personality to match ...
I love him to bits and I think this will be one of my hardest rehomes ever.
Ideally I would like Jake to be within travelling distance to Somerset .... We have a very strong bond and I would love to have the opportunity to visit and see how he matures and where his chosen pathway takes him ...
He is without a shadow of doubt one very special little boy who was given a chance of life and he fought to survive ..
Puppy vaccinations
Flea/wormed to date
